Electrolux Drives Massive Expansion with Jitterbit
The Customer
Founded in 1919, Electrolux has grown to become the second-largest appliance manufacturer in the world, with a presence in more than 200 countries. Its 40,000+ employees support a massive manufacturing and ecommerce operation that sells more than 40 million products and drives over $12 billion annually.
The Challenge
When Electrolux got its start in ecommerce sales, all processes were highly manual. The orders were placed in VTEX, and also entered directly into the ERP — there was no automation of systems. With an operation that processes thousands of orders per day, employees spent a lot of time tied up with error-prone and tedious processes, and often struggled to deliver a high volume of products due to issues with carrier miscommunications.
As the company eyed expanding its Latin America presence, they knew that they would need to integrate its various ERPs internationally to ensure they could adequately handle order shipment, inventory and other logistics that would come along with the increased sales volume.
The Solution
A large-scale migration to a new ERP presented the perfect opportunity to hit the ground running with a new iPaaS vendor — and Electrolux selected Jitterbit to help automate these system integrations.
“We chose Jitterbit as a strategic partner for our Latin American expansion because we believed they offered a robust and efficient solution that was highly adaptable to the plurality of our region,” said Gabriel Gomes, Electrolux D2C Director for the Latin American market.
Through its unified integration platform, Jitterbit implemented a TMS (transportation management system) tool inside their delivery operation. The new system was set up to send deliveries to fill up one carrier, then “overflow” to the next available carrier once the limit was reached, maximizing transport capacities.
The integrations between VTEX and ERPs offered the agility, simplicity and efficiency needed as Electrolux ramped up production in its new markets.
The Results
Within five years, Electrolux had expanded its operations from its original site in Brazil throughout Latin America, with 18 sites in 8 countries. “Jitterbit was a strategic partner for us to be able to handle this volume, this speed of growth,” Bruno Graná, IT Manager, Electrolux Latin America said.
According to Graná, Jitterbit now serves as a hub for data and integrations for all the company’s systems, including products, stock, prices and orders. This seamless and comprehensive integration has helped Electrolux not only cut costs and increase efficiency, it also reduced their average D2C ecommerce delivery time by two days.
Jitterbit has been a strategic partner for us in helping us scale at speed. Streamlining and automating complex supply chain integrations with Jitterbit iPaaS enabled us to successfully expand into new LATAM markets while keeping our teams focused on the business.”

And these wins formed the bedrock for what’s become a growing, decade-long partnership between Electrolux and Jitterbit. “Ever since our first contact with them, Jitterbit has brought solutions that simplified our day-to-day and allowed us to focus on the evolution of our business,” Gomes said.
“I highly recommend Jitterbit to other companies. With Jitterbit we can always focus on the business and on our strategies,” Graná said.
