In less than a decade, AI has gone from science fiction to business reality. According to Jitterbit’s “2025 Automation Benchmark Report,” 99% of enterprises have already integrated AI into their operations.
But as generative AI becomes ubiquitous, it’s also fueling an explosion in new apps and data streams: By 2026, an estimated 500 million new apps will have been created, and today 82% of enterprises report that data silos are disrupting critical workflows.
To help businesses increase efficiency and regain control of complexity, Jitterbit is evolving the Harmony platform to provide accountable agentic AI tools, capabilities and services across iPaaS, App Builder, API Manager and EDI products.

What is Agentic AI?
“97% of IT leaders advocate for empowering non-technical users to build, deploy and maintain apps and integrations.” 1
While generative AI can perform a wide range of tasks — from playing Dungeons & Dragons to proofreading papers to predicting industry trends — it cannot act alone: it depends on prompts from humans to function.
Agentic AI, on the other hand, can act autonomously to achieve its goals, without constant human oversight. They can make decisions, learn from data and adapt to dynamic situations in ways that go beyond a set of scripted responses.
With AI taking on mundane tasks such as managing tickets and soliciting approvals, humans will have more time to focus on creative and strategic work, driving improved business outcomes, reducing human error and significantly speeding operations.
A Secure, Layered Approach to AI
“Enterprise environments average more than 1,000 apps” 2
The introduction of powerful AI agents marks the next evolution of our industry-first layered AI and low-code architecture, furthering our commitment to democratizing the development, management and deployment processes.
The unified, AI-infused low-code Jitterbit Harmony platform sits at the core of this architecture — offering the flexibility of using low-code, no-code or AI agents to create integrations, build apps or connect with third-party vendors and partners. This empowers both technical users and novices to build AI agents and create seamless workflow automations within complex enterprise architectures.
Regardless of how you choose to work, Harmony unifies disparate data and integrations into interconnected, enterprise-wide workflows, simplifying and transforming the way your business runs.
“50% of IT leaders cite vulnerabilities as their top security concern.” 1
As AI tools become increasingly powerful and capable, organizations can no longer afford to take an “implement first and ask questions later” approach. Robust frameworks are needed to ensure AI agents operate ethically and transparently, as Gartner® explained in its “TSP 2025 Trends: Agentic AI – Evolution of Experience.” (24 February 2025)
“New governance and responsible AI approaches will be required,” Gartner noted. “As agentic AI becomes more autonomous, the need for new governance approaches will become increasingly critical. Agentic governance frameworks must be as adaptable and extensible as the systems they govern. It will also require new ways to validate and verify the evolutionary changes — both the immediate impacts and longer-term implications.”
Like the Harmony platform itself, Jitterbit’s AI capabilities are built to maximize security and accountability, minimizing risk and helping to ensure proper governance and compliance. As part of our commitment to AI accountability, we use a mix of technical design, policy and organizational practices. AI agents built by Jitterbit keep humans involved in decision making and log every decision or action the agent takes, along with the context for post-incident investigations and proving compliance. Jitteerbit also has policy frameworks that define acceptable use, escalation procedures and responsible sunset practices.
This AI accountability is critical because it helps build trust, improves reliability, and helps ensure AI quality. In this way, we’re empowering organizations with the checks and balances to ensure agents are not only making correct logical decisions, but also providing guardrails to mitigate issues like toxicity and AI hallucination. And as always, we are providing mechanisms for human oversight and verification for extra levels of accountability.
Three Ways to Start Using AI Agents
“31% of enterprises are already actively planning for agentic AI.” 1
Jitterbit remains committed to letting users adopt AI on their own timeline. But given the powerful capabilities of Jitterbit AI agents, we anticipate they’ll be sought by a wide range of businesses, each with their own level of resources, expertise and urgency. That’s why we’re offering three ways for customers to get Jitterbit agentic AI:
AI Studio
Customers already use Integration Studio to design powerful system integrations and automations. Now, customers can also use it to design and implement AI agents using natural language or low code, providing accountable agentic AI tools, capabilities and services, enabling organizations to build overarching automation to significantly enhance productivity.
Marketplace
Jitterbit is expanding its existing Marketplace to include trusted, pre-built AI agents created by Jitterbit, as well as AI Agents created by third-parties. The first three to go live will be HR Employee Onboarding Agent, AskJB Agent and Sales Agent. We will share more about these new agents in the coming months.
Agentic AI Professional Services
Because some organizations may prefer to outsource AI agent development due to lack of resources or other factors, Jitterbit has assembled a team of AI and ML experts to help. Beginning in May 2025, Jitterbit’s Agentic AI Professional Services will be available to design, test and deploy custom AI agents specifically designed to solve a business’s core automation and orchestration needs.
As part of our Layered AI architecture, Jitterbit AI agents will empower businesses to automate complex tasks, streamline workflows, execute autonomous decision making and unlock new levels of efficiency.
