Pernod Ricard Ensures Faster Data Traffic with Jitterbit’s Wevo iPaaS

After leveraging Jitterbit’s Wevo iPaaS for their e-commerce integration needs, Pernod Ricard improved data accuracy and security in real-time to facilitate better customer experiences.

Background

Pernod Ricard is a global leader in the wine and spirits sector, beginning their partnership with Jitterbit through its Brazilian unit in 2018.

Challenge

With a global presence, Pernod Ricard is a a world-renowned French company specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of alcoholic beverages. Their catalogue of products includes different brands of whiskey, vodka, and gin, as well as high-end wines and champagnes.

Their operation in Brazil was initially looking for an application integration that could manage connecting the group’s local and global databases. This information needed to be updated constantly and made available immediately in order to keep their communication ecosystem alive, secure, and clean, blocking the sale of alcohol to anyone under 18 years of age.

Additionally, the Pernod Ricard team required a solution that integrated different modules of their e-commerce platform with their database and CRM platform in order to sustain the gamification of their B2C store, allowing users to solve challenges and unblock different benefits in their journey. However, the complexity of the system made the connection with internal data difficult and the user experience worse.

Solution

Pernod Ricard found Jitterbit through a referral from the development agency that assisted them at the time. The focus was mainly to solve the issue of gamification and ensure faster data traffic between the internal systems that connected the Brazil unit with the global offices.

Wevo iPaaS was able to integrate the VTEX platform of their two e-commerce stores (Drinks&Clubs, their B2C e-commerce platform, and Drinks&Community, their relationship platform restricted to employees, guests, and partner companies) with the company’s Salesforce CRM and internal databases.

But we’ve since gone far beyond that initial scope. The application integration is already used to promote real-time interaction with consumers. The use case between the e-commerce platform and the CRM allows for a previously unseen level of personalization in their business strategy.

“It’s a big facilitator for companies that need to connect their systems and applications. I have no doubt that if I had an API and a smoke signal, Jitterbit would find a way to connect the two,” said Luis Rossoni, Pernod Ricard’s E-commerce Analyst for Brazil.

Wevo iPaaS integration brought not only the expected agility and security, but also allowed data to move more quickly, allowing the CRM to extract more insights and make it possible to offer the customer the beverage they really want at that time.
