Jitterbit Employees Join Salesforce.com & Friends Team For Charity Cycling Event in Effort to Raise $250,000 for Multiple Sclerosis

‘Bike MS: Waves to Wine 2014’ Trek from San Francisco to Sonoma Will Raise Donations For Multiple Sclerosis Research and Care

Alameda, Calif., September 17, 2014 — Jitterbit, the leading provider of fast, agile integration solutions for the modern enterprise, announced that its employees will ride in the Bike MS: Waves to Wine 2014 charity event as part of the Salesforce.com & Friends team. The two-day charity cycling event will take place on September 20 and 21, starting in San Francisco and ending in Rohnert Park, with participants each raising individual contributions to help fund Multiple sclerosis research and treatment programs. Along with many of its individual employees joining the ride, Jitterbit will serve as a sponsor of the Salesforce.com & Friends team, which in its eighth consecutive year of participation aims to raise $250,000 in donations – the largest amount gathered by a single team in the history of the event.

“When Jitterbit found out that Salesforce.com was bringing its partners together to support this great cause, we did not hesitate to put a team together,” said Jitterbit Senior Director of Alliances Vera Rossi. “Multiple sclerosis affects millions of people every year. Funds raised by the Jitterbit team support cutting-edge research and programs for everyone impacted by Multiple sclerosis.”

Jitterbit has always held a strong commitment to charity and giving back to the community, and is proud to support the National MS Society by raising awareness, participating in events, and offering financial support. Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. MS, which can be difficult to diagnose, is thought to affect more than 2.3 million people worldwide. Today MS is not a curable disease, but effective strategies can help modify or slow the disease course, treat relapses, manage symptoms, improve function and safety, and address emotional health. Along with funding treatment for Multiple sclerosis, the National MS Society sponsors research initiatives aimed at stopping progress of the disease, restoring lost nervous system functions, and ultimately finding a way to prevent anyone from developing MS.
