We’ve had a great time at HIMSS so far this week. We’ve met with many customers and partners, including AWPRx and ASCO, and talked to prospects who are excited about joining our customers and getting their health data integrated. We’ve taken a moment to walk the floor and see what others are up to. And many people have come to talk to us about Becker’s Hospital Review’s interview with our CTO Ilan Sehayek.
As expected, healthcare data interoperability has been a major topic at HIMSS so far. FHIR standards are igniting a more widespread effort to adopt new solutions in this area so that health organizations can begin to make the most of their data and analytics. It’s clearly time for big data and EHR systems to go beyond just handling billing and start moving toward measurably improving patient care, just like ASCO’s CancerLinQ is doing with our solutions that bring together cancer data from multiple practices to uncover treatment insights. We had a chance to catch up with ASCO at HIMSS:
The HIMSS show floor has been active with education of providers and vendors alike as they exchange information about pain points in patient care and reveal new possibilities for technology to help advance everyday tasks, turning them from mere transactions into opportunities to provide better care through automation and analysis. Even the process of selecting and implementing interoperability solutions is becoming a very collaborative one.
Although all healthcare providers share the goal of improving patient care, each one may have a slightly different approach. Jitterbit’s philosophy is to make healthcare data interoperability as simple as possible by moving data into the right places, adding supplemental information as needed, like related metadata or process automation. We caught up with our customer AWPRx who uses Jitterbit to connect with a national pharmacy network:
To learn more about how we approach healthcare data interoperability, don’t miss our presentation tomorrow with Salesforce Health Cloud, Making EHR Integration Easy with Jitterbit from 11:30 a.m.—11:50 a.m. in Clyde Ballroom at the SLS Hotel. We’ll show you how to overcome the fact that integrating EHR data into other platforms and products has historically been incredibly difficult for healthcare organizations, and get better results using Jitterbit’s approach to simplifying integrations between leading EHRs and Salesforce Health Cloud.
