Salesforce IoT integration was a big theme at Dreamforce 2015, and it doesn’t take Cassandra (either one) to predict that it’s going to continue to be a hot topic for some time to come. So it’s no surprise that Oracle is tackling the subject head on at OpenWorld this year as well.
Siddhartha Agarwal, VP of Product Management and Strategy for Oracle Cloud Platform, told SiliconANGLE that connected devices are producing a lot of data, but very little can be acted on thus far – at least not without connecting all of the right systems.
While Oracle offers integration solutions, several of our customers are using Jitterbit to integrate Oracle EBS and other Oracle systems with a variety of systems of engagement as well as systems of record, so they can run their businesses more efficiently, automate processes, and count on data to be accurate. We’re excited about what our customers have achieved with our platform, so we wanted to share some of our customer use cases for Oracle integration with you.
LA Metro connects Salesforce to Oracle EBS to unleash the power of the Internet of Things and update riders’ cards with the right fare balance as soon as a mobile payment is made. Here’s a quick Oracle EBS integration demo to show how you could connect to this system, too:
Bayer uses Jitterbit to connect Salesforce and Oracle, which helps Bayer fulfill medication orders faster and get insights into ordering trends. Bayer was able to create a bi-directional integration between Salesforce and Oracle with just two staff members, and cut down overall integration development time by a third with Jitterbit.
Odyssey manages transportation requests and bids by integrating Oracle with other databases. Learn how to make the truck horn sound in our webinar with Odyssey:
Finally, Sunkist connects financial systems to Oracle using Jitterbit, so it can process citrus orders in time for fruit to arrive in perfect condition. Doesn’t that sound sweet?
