about creating data using partner.wsdl 9.0

Postby heiritic on Sun Sep 09, 2007 9:54 pm

Helo everyone, I need help about creating data using partner.wsdl 9.0. I don't know how to create data more than 1 if I use createnode. It will give me an error :
A duplicate value was specified for field 'Name' in object 'Account', duplicate value 'Randy4312' prior value 'Edwin4321

I think because I use createnode, so it will create node again with the same name. I'm so confused..Anyone can assist me about this problem? Any help would be appreciated...

When you use the partner WSDL there are two things you need to know:

1. In the value of the string of the Any you need to include the field and and value, with the field name being in a Tag. e.g. <Name>IlanTestxx</Name> would create the accountName IlanTestxx.

2. You need to set the record generator so that records are created at the sObject level.

I will try to schedule a 30 minute webinar on using the partner WSDL. If you want to be dynamic you should use the describe methods to get all field names and then generate those values dynamically. The easiest way to explain it is actually showing it.

Ok..I would love to have a webinar. What time do you want to have a webinar and where? Because our time is 12 hours difference, we can set the schedule 2 days after this. How about it? Or you have another plan to schedule, I will appreciate it. Thanx Ilan..More questions in webinar..
